National Scheme

Home Guarantee Scheme (First Home Guarantee, Regional & Family guarantees):

 

Allows first-home buyers to purchase with a 5% deposit (or 2% for family buyers), with the government guaranteeing up to 15–18%—no LMI required

Victoria (VIC)

  • First Home Owner Grant (FHOG): $10,000 for new homes ≤ $750,000 (contracts after 1‑Jul‑2013)

  • Stamp duty exemptions/concessions: Full exemption up to $600,000, with concessional rates up to $750,000

  • Additional support: Victorian Homebuyer Fund, reduced duty for off-the-plan properties

New South Wales (NSW)
